Facelifted A6 launching on September 20

Audi will launch facelift of A6 on September 20 for Indian market. The revised car will get some changes to the interior and exterior, and a slight bump in the power output.
The biggest and much awaited change the new A6 gets is the newly designed headlights with twin-lined fibre optic LED strips. These are the same Matrix LED headlamps that are available on the recently launched RS6 Avant. This feature, however, is limited to the top-end variant.
More changes to exterior include the revised tail lights with swept back indicators, unique chrome strip on the boot lid’s edge and a new set of alloy wheels. The changes to the interior are it gets a new inbuilt infotainment system, MMI touch interface of Audi navigation system, power retractable monitors and an LTE port that offers online services from apps. The car will come equipped with premium 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, a reverse parking camera with night vision and adaptive cruise control.
Under the hood it has same engine for the facelifted A6 and it is powered by the same 2.0-litre TDI engine like the current model. However, the power has been increased from 175bhp to 187bhp. This powerplant will come mated to the 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and will receive Audi’s Quattro four-wheel drive system as standard.
We hope the carmaker also equips the Indian-spec A6 with massage and ventilation options for the seats, which are available in the European market. The refreshed model will go up against the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series and the Jaguar XF in India.
