Renault Introduces RXL Variant Of Kwid 1.0-Litre And AMT

Recently, the Kwid surpassed the 1.30 lakh unit sales milestone and the company also registered an impressive growth of 146 per cent in 2016. To further boost the sales of the Kwid Renault introduces new variant “RXL” with 1.0-litre engine in both manual and AMT options. 1.0-litre kwid was earlier available only in the top-end RXT and RXT Opt variants. . With this variant, the 1.0-litre and the AMT variants have become more affordable and will be accessible.
The RXL 1.0L SCe variant in manual transmission is Rs 22,000 more than the 800cc Kwid, whereas RXL 1.0L AMT variant is just Rs 30,000 more than the former manual 1.0-litre version. To keep the prices low, the RXL variant leaves out a lot of features. Instead of the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is present in the RXT variant. The RXL variant has a single-DIN audio player with USB, Bluetooth and AUX inputs. The RXL also lacks many features like front power windows, fog lamps, on-board computer and a remote locking, which are available on the top-spec variant.
The 1.0-litre Renault Kwid is powered by a three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox. This motor produces 68bhp of power and 91Nm of torque, considerably more than the 800’s 54bhp, 72Nm output. RXL 1.0L SCe variant in manual transmission will cost Rs 3.54 lakh and RXL 1.0L AMT variant will cost Rs 3.84 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).

Lamborghini India to launch the Aventador S on March 3

The Lamborghini Aventador S will be launched for the Indian market on March 3. The 'S' model comes as a comprehensive mid-life cycle update to the Aventador. Now the new Aventador S, comes with cosmetic changes, enhanced performance and some new features.
The S suffix means the car gets an even more aggressive design, better driving dynamics and more importantly extra power. It features an entirely new front bumper, rear bumper, diffusers and air intakes. All the changes have been made with only one aim in mind: to achieve maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The new front splitter and diffuser account for 130 per cent more downforce. On the rear, the car features an active rear wing which further improves downforce and a new three-piped exhaust which is 20 per cent lighter than the exhaust on the predecessor. Apart from a new TFT display for the instrument cluster, the interiors remain unchanged.
Though the engine is same 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 mill from the predecessor, However the power output has been increased by 39bhp. The engine is now rated at 740bhp and 690Nm of torque by optimising the Variable Valve Timing and Variable Intake System. The redline has also been increased from 8,350 to 8,500rpm. The powerplant comes mated to a seven-speed transmission with power sent to all four wheels. While the car can reach top speed of 350kmph, it sprints from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds.
The Aventador S offers an additional, 'EGO' driving mode, which lets you customize the steering, suspension and engine settings individually. This is in addition to the standard STRADA, SPORT and CORSA modes. The car also comes with ceramic disc brakes as standard and likely to be priced around the Rs 5.5 crore mark.

Toyota Launches All-New Prius At Rs 38.96 Lakh

The fourth generation Toyota Prius has been launched in India at Rs 38.96 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. It gets a revised design, new underpinnings. It has been brought in via the CBU route and is available in top-of-the-line Z8 variant.
New Prius is powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine that produces 98PS of power and 142Nm of torque. The electric motor, on the other hand, is capable of producing 72PS/163Nm. Working together, the total power output goes up to 122PS. Prius comes with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and power is sent to the front wheels only. Prius gives Fuel Economy of 26.27Kmpl.
On the outside, some of the standout features include LED powered fog lamps and headlamps, daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels and smart entry tech for all doors. Inside the Prius it includes  leather seats, chrome door handles, eco-driving indicator, touchscreen infotainment display with 10-speaker JBL sound system, pitch and bounce control, follow-me-home headlamps, seat heater for the front two seats, heads-up display, wireless smartphone charger, dual automatic AC and seven airbags.

2017 Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster launched in India

Porsche has launched the new 718 Cayman and Boxster in the country, which are priced at Rs 81.63 lakh and Rs 85.53 lakh ex-showroom Delhi respectively. The third generation 718 Boxster gets more striking and sporty appearance, while the new 718 Cayman complements the Roadster. The newly launched cars claim to offer better performance figure as compared to the older generation models.
The new 718 Cayman and the Boxster are powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, which replaces the older 3.4-litre, six cylinder. Cayman claims to generate an additional 90Nm of torque over its predecessor. It comes with seven-speed automatic PDK gearbox, the 2.0-litre engines produce 298 bhp and 380Nm of torque which allows the vehicle to do 0-100kmph in just about 5.1 seconds. The top speed for both cars has been at 275kmph. To deliver best handling, the new models are offered with retuned chassis, a wider front and side air-intake with side skirts for aerodynamics. Both the 718 Boxster and the 718 Cayman get a redesigned front with larger cooling intakes, and the Bi-Xenon headlights with the LED DRLs get a design update too.
Inside, the upper part of the dashboard and the air vents are new, and the 718 Boxster and Cayman get a 918 Spyder design sport steering wheel. PCM (Porsche Communication Management) now forms a part of the standard equipment. 718 Boxster is offered with a Vehicle Tracking System Plus (PVTS+) as standard.  The Porsche 718 Boxster competes with the Mercedes-AMG SLC43, priced at Rs 77.50 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The 718 Cayman doesn't have any real competition for now as there is no other 2-seater sports coupe available in the price range.

Porsche launches Cayenne S Platinum Edition at Rs 1.27 Crore

Porsche has launched the Cayenne S Platinum Edition in India. The petrol variant is priced at Rs 1.27 crore and the diesel version is priced at Rs 1.31 crore (Ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The Platinum Edition offer more features and equipment in comparison to a standard Cayenne S.
The vehicle now gets new bi-xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System and body coloured wheel arches. Platinum edition also comes with 21-inch wheels instead of 18-inch wheels that are offered on the standard variant. The Platinum Edition Cayenne S is available in shades of Jet Black, Mahogany, Rhodium Silver and Carrara White.
Inside the Cayenne S Platinum Edition features leather and Alcantara upholstery, eight-way adjustable sports seats, Platinum Edition badging on the sill guard and seat headrests with Porsche logo. The vehicle also gets heated front seats and touchscreen navigation system with Bose audio system. Moreover, it also gets dynamic cornering system and front and rear parking sensors.
There are no changes under the hood. The Cayenne S Platinum Edition’s petrol variant is powered by same 3.6-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that comes mated to an 8-speed tiptronic S transmission unit to put out 414bhp of power and 550Nm of torque. The diesel version on the other hand is powered by a 4.2-litre twin-turbo 8-cylinder engine comes mated to an 8-speed tiptronic S transmission unit which puts out 380bhp of power 850Nm of torque.
