Lamborghini India to launch the Aventador S on March 3

The Lamborghini Aventador S will be launched for the Indian market on March 3. The 'S' model comes as a comprehensive mid-life cycle update to the Aventador. Now the new Aventador S, comes with cosmetic changes, enhanced performance and some new features.
The S suffix means the car gets an even more aggressive design, better driving dynamics and more importantly extra power. It features an entirely new front bumper, rear bumper, diffusers and air intakes. All the changes have been made with only one aim in mind: to achieve maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The new front splitter and diffuser account for 130 per cent more downforce. On the rear, the car features an active rear wing which further improves downforce and a new three-piped exhaust which is 20 per cent lighter than the exhaust on the predecessor. Apart from a new TFT display for the instrument cluster, the interiors remain unchanged.
Though the engine is same 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 mill from the predecessor, However the power output has been increased by 39bhp. The engine is now rated at 740bhp and 690Nm of torque by optimising the Variable Valve Timing and Variable Intake System. The redline has also been increased from 8,350 to 8,500rpm. The powerplant comes mated to a seven-speed transmission with power sent to all four wheels. While the car can reach top speed of 350kmph, it sprints from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds.
The Aventador S offers an additional, 'EGO' driving mode, which lets you customize the steering, suspension and engine settings individually. This is in addition to the standard STRADA, SPORT and CORSA modes. The car also comes with ceramic disc brakes as standard and likely to be priced around the Rs 5.5 crore mark.
