Maruti has been caught testing Celerio in diesel on Indian roads. Celerio is expected to be launched with a 800cc diesel motor, which is the smallest engine by Maruti till date. It is speculate that this newly developed motor is independently made by Maruti Suzuki India.
Testing of this car has been spotted several times now in and around Haryana and it is said that this tiny diesel is quite silent. And since it is a diesel, we expect it to be very efficient and the fact that it is a mere 800cc that could make it record-breakingly fuel efficient across the segments.
Other than this, the car will be same like the current going petrol model. Like the top spec diesel Celerio will get the same music system with bluetooth connectivity, fog lamps-front and rear, rear wiper, etc. On the price perspective, it will most probably fall under 5 lacs and hence will be pretty much desirable.
