Range Rover Velar Launched In India

Land Rover India has finally announced the prices of the Range Rover Velar. Prices for the Velar start at Rs 78.83 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.24 crore (ex-showroom India). The new SUV sits between the Evoque and the Sport. The Velar is available with three engine option one petrol and two diesel across 25 variants.
Inside the cabin seats get a 20-way adjustment with memory, recline and heating/cooling in the front. The upholstery is all leather, while the Meridian 825W sound system is installed. The new Touch-Pro Duo infotainment system is also available for smartphone mirroring and gesture control. The SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, individual zone climate control, power gesture tailgate and Navigation Pro, with personalisation packs..
In India, the Velar gets a 2.0-litre 250PS petrol engine while the diesel duties are done by two different engines - a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, 179PS engine and a 3.0-litre V6 which produces 300PS of power. All the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels. The four variants are Standard, S, SE and HSE trim.
It is equipped with features like electronic air suspension, Terrain Response System, Dynamic Stability Control, active rear locking differential and a Roll Stability Control System. It also gets active dynamics, which according to the manufacturer monitors body and steering movements up to 500 times per second to provide a comfortable ride. The Velar is in competition with premium SUVs like the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90.

Tata Hexa Downtown Urban Edition Lunched

Tata Motors has launched the Hexa Downtown Urban Edition in India. The Hexa Downtown will be available with two packages, which are 'Absolute' and 'Indulgence'. The prices of the Hexa Downtown start at ₹ 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This special edition gets some cosmetic changes and packs new features inside it's cabin and will be available in limited numbers.
The Hexa gets a new Urban Bronze paint job which is specific to this Downtown Urban edition. Added features are chrome highlights to the vehicle to up the bling factor. The headlights and tail lamp surrounds, ORVMs and sides sport these additional chrome bits. A downtown badging, side steps, tan seat covers, a wireless charger, carpet sets and car care kit. These features are common to both “Absolute” and “Indulgence” packages offered by Tata.
The key difference between the “Absolute” and “Indulge” packages are in terms of alloy wheels on lower variants. Also, the Indulge package adds a Head-Up Display (HUD) ) this reads out the speed limit alerts, battery voltage and even the tyre pressure information of the car and 10-inch rear seat entertainment screens trims on the top-end XT and XTA trims.
There are no mechanical changes in this special edition. It will be powered by same 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine is offered in two states of tune. In the lower variant it produces 148bhp and 320Nm of torque, while in the higher spec-variant it churns out 154bhp and 400Nm of torque. The engine in the lower state-of-tune comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, and will be rear-wheel driven. The more powerful version comes with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox options, available with either rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Tata Nexon Launched in India

Tata Motors much-awaited compact Sports Utility Vehicle Nexon launched with aggressive pricing it at Rs 5.85 lakh to Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). It is available in base XE, XM, XT and top XZ+ trims. All these trims will be available with both petrol as well as diesel engine options. Tata is giving dual front airbags as well as ABS as standard for the range.
Inside the cabin, Nexon gets a three-tone interior along with climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with floating display and eight speakers, button start, rotary dial for drive mode selection and a 350-litre boot. The Harmann touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto,  USB, Bluetooth and AUX connectivity.
Under the hood, Tata Nexon is powered by brand new Revotron petrol and Revotorq diesel engines,  where 1.2-litre inline four cylinder petrol engine producing 108bhp while the diesel is a new 1.5-litre engine producing 108bhp. Both engines are offered only with a six-speed manual transmission. The Nexon rides 209mm off the ground, which is not only the highest in its segment, but also higher than its elder siblings, the Safari Storme and the Hexa.
There are five colours on offer, namely - Moroccan Blue, Vermont Red, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey and Calgary White. Tata is also offering a dual-tone option on the XZ+ trim with a gloss black finished roof. Tata Nexon competes against Ford Ecosport, the Honda WR-V, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300 and the Nuvosport.

Skoda Octavia RS Launched

Skoda has reintroduced the Octavia RS in India, which is the performance oriented version of the regular Octavia. Available in a single variant which is Style-Plus variant, the Skoda Octavia RS will cost Rs 24.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India).It’s the most powerful car that Skoda has ever brought to India and it comes with full RS specification. 
Under the hood, the new Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that gives the power of 230bhp and 350Nm of torque. It is mated with six-speed automatic gearbox that powers the front wheels. The Octavia RS goes 0-100kmph in under 7 seconds and its top speed is upto 250kmph.
Inside, the Octavia RS gets an all-black theme and the Alcantra seats get unique red stitching with the RS badge. The car gets carbon finish door inserts and a flat bottom steering wheel for that sporty quotient. It comes with large 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
On the exterior, Octavia RS equipped with quad LED headlamps and a blackened butterfly grille with the RS badge. The car gets a functional body kit which includes a tail gate spoiler, 17-inch alloys and side skirts. It also gets large twin exhausts at the rear.
The new Skoda Octavia RS comes with convenience and safety features, which includes electronically adjustable seats, sunroof, rear AC vents, ABS with EBD and multiple airbags. . It is available in the shades of Candy White, Race Blue, Corrida Red and Steel Grey.

Updated Audi Q3 launched in India

Audi India has launched the updated version of the Q3 with Mechanical and features upgrades. The new Q3 2.0-TDI front wheel drive is priced at Rs 34.20 lakh, while the 2.0-TDI Quattro is priced at Rs 37.20 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). 
Under the hood, the Q3 with a 2.0 litre TDI front wheel drive generates 148bhp of power, while the Q3 2.0 TDI quattro engine, it generates 182bhp of power, which is about 4 per cent more powerful than the previous version. The FWD variant goes 0-100 in 9.3 seconds, while the Quattro version goes 0-100kmph in 7.9 seconds. Both the engine come mated to updated 7-speed S tronic transmission.
New Audi Q3 gets a redesigned bumper that features sharper lines and has a striking shape. The new air inlets in the front bumper give the car a rugged and aggressive character. The panoramic sunroof is now standard on the car as are the 17-inch wheels and LED Headlights with signature LED DRLs. Inside the cabin the vehicle now gets front seats with electric adjustment as standard, along with deluxe 2 Zone automatic air conditioner. The Audi Q3 2.0 TDI quattro features sporty aluminium tangent inlays while the Audi Q3 2.0 TDI FWD gets elegant walnut brown inlays.
Looking at the safety features, the new Audi Q3 comes with electronic stabilisation program, 6-airbags and electronic vehicle immobilization device. As for features it comes loaded with - driver information display in colour, hill-start assist and hill descent assist, electromechanical parking brake, folding rear seat back, front and rear centre armrest. Additionally, the new Q3 also offers parking system plus with reverse camera and cruise control.

Lamborghini Aventador S Launched

Lamborghini India has introduced the Aventador S in the country at Rs 5.01 Crore (ex-showroom, India). It is the facelifted version of the Aventador coupe and features a new front bumper, rear bumper, diffusers and air intakes. All these changes on the exterior make the car more aerodynamic. The new front splitter and diffuser add 130 % more downforce, thus making the car firmly planted on the road.
There are not much changes inside the Aventador S from standard Aventador. It still features the jet-fighter inspired cockpit. However, the old analogue dials in the instrument cluster have been replaced by LCD TFT display. The Italian super carmaker is also offering tonnes of customisation options. You can personalise your Aventador S through Lamborghini's personalisation division.
The new Lamborghini Aventador S is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that gives power of 730bhp. The powerful engine comes mated to a seven-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) gearbox. The vehicle claims to reach a top speed of 349kmph and goes a 0-100kmph in just 2.9 seconds. The most unique feature of the Aventador S is its four-wheel steering. While at low speeds the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction compared to the front, at high speeds they turn in the same direction. This helps to achieve a shorter turning radius at low speed and better cornering ability at high speeds.
The new Aventador S also features a new driving mode, the 'EGO', apart from the existing Strada, Sport and Corsa. The EGO mode lets the driver choose individual settings for the steering, suspension and engine. The Aventador S replaces the standard Aventador in India. Aventador S rivals with Ferrari 812 Superfast and the Aston Martin Vanquish.

2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Launched

Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2017 E-Class in India. Prices start at Rs 56.15 lakh for the E 200 petrol and go up to Rs 69.47 lakh for the E 350 d diesel (both prices ex-showroom Mumbai). The new E-Class is being introduced exclusively as a long-wheelbase model and India is the only country to get it with right-hand drive.
Features in the new 2017 E-Class include 12.3-inch infotainment screen (derived from the S-Class) that can be operated via a touchpad and for entertainment the car comes equipped with a 13-speaker sound system by Burmester. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, motorised sunblinds, 64-colour ambient lighting and touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel, Full-LED headlights, air-suspension (diesel only) and electrically-adjustable rear seats.
The E 350 d’s 3.0-litre, V6 diesel engine produces 262PS of power and 620Nm of torque. 0-100kmph comes up in a claimed 6.6 seconds with the top speed rated at 250kmph. Mercedes-Benz had the same diesel engine powering the outgoing E-Class, tuned to deliver the same power and torque output. The petrol engine is also a familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder unit. Producing 187PS and 300Nm, this engine drives the new E-Class from 0-100kmph in 8.5 seconds – 0.6 seconds slower than the outgoing E-Class – since the new model is larger and, of course, heavier too. Both engines come paired with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission that drives power to the rear wheels only.
Colour Options available with new 2017 E-Class are Obsidian Black, Iridium Silver, Citrine Brown, Selenite Grey, Polar White. 2017 E-Class takes on rivals like the BMW 5 Series (soon to be replaced by a new generation itself), the Audi A6, Volvo S90 and the Jaguar XF.

Renault Introduces RXL Variant Of Kwid 1.0-Litre And AMT

Recently, the Kwid surpassed the 1.30 lakh unit sales milestone and the company also registered an impressive growth of 146 per cent in 2016. To further boost the sales of the Kwid Renault introduces new variant “RXL” with 1.0-litre engine in both manual and AMT options. 1.0-litre kwid was earlier available only in the top-end RXT and RXT Opt variants. . With this variant, the 1.0-litre and the AMT variants have become more affordable and will be accessible.
The RXL 1.0L SCe variant in manual transmission is Rs 22,000 more than the 800cc Kwid, whereas RXL 1.0L AMT variant is just Rs 30,000 more than the former manual 1.0-litre version. To keep the prices low, the RXL variant leaves out a lot of features. Instead of the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is present in the RXT variant. The RXL variant has a single-DIN audio player with USB, Bluetooth and AUX inputs. The RXL also lacks many features like front power windows, fog lamps, on-board computer and a remote locking, which are available on the top-spec variant.
The 1.0-litre Renault Kwid is powered by a three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT gearbox. This motor produces 68bhp of power and 91Nm of torque, considerably more than the 800’s 54bhp, 72Nm output. RXL 1.0L SCe variant in manual transmission will cost Rs 3.54 lakh and RXL 1.0L AMT variant will cost Rs 3.84 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).

Lamborghini India to launch the Aventador S on March 3

The Lamborghini Aventador S will be launched for the Indian market on March 3. The 'S' model comes as a comprehensive mid-life cycle update to the Aventador. Now the new Aventador S, comes with cosmetic changes, enhanced performance and some new features.
The S suffix means the car gets an even more aggressive design, better driving dynamics and more importantly extra power. It features an entirely new front bumper, rear bumper, diffusers and air intakes. All the changes have been made with only one aim in mind: to achieve maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The new front splitter and diffuser account for 130 per cent more downforce. On the rear, the car features an active rear wing which further improves downforce and a new three-piped exhaust which is 20 per cent lighter than the exhaust on the predecessor. Apart from a new TFT display for the instrument cluster, the interiors remain unchanged.
Though the engine is same 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 mill from the predecessor, However the power output has been increased by 39bhp. The engine is now rated at 740bhp and 690Nm of torque by optimising the Variable Valve Timing and Variable Intake System. The redline has also been increased from 8,350 to 8,500rpm. The powerplant comes mated to a seven-speed transmission with power sent to all four wheels. While the car can reach top speed of 350kmph, it sprints from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds.
The Aventador S offers an additional, 'EGO' driving mode, which lets you customize the steering, suspension and engine settings individually. This is in addition to the standard STRADA, SPORT and CORSA modes. The car also comes with ceramic disc brakes as standard and likely to be priced around the Rs 5.5 crore mark.

Toyota Launches All-New Prius At Rs 38.96 Lakh

The fourth generation Toyota Prius has been launched in India at Rs 38.96 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. It gets a revised design, new underpinnings. It has been brought in via the CBU route and is available in top-of-the-line Z8 variant.
New Prius is powered by a 1.8-litre petrol engine that produces 98PS of power and 142Nm of torque. The electric motor, on the other hand, is capable of producing 72PS/163Nm. Working together, the total power output goes up to 122PS. Prius comes with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and power is sent to the front wheels only. Prius gives Fuel Economy of 26.27Kmpl.
On the outside, some of the standout features include LED powered fog lamps and headlamps, daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels and smart entry tech for all doors. Inside the Prius it includes  leather seats, chrome door handles, eco-driving indicator, touchscreen infotainment display with 10-speaker JBL sound system, pitch and bounce control, follow-me-home headlamps, seat heater for the front two seats, heads-up display, wireless smartphone charger, dual automatic AC and seven airbags.

2017 Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster launched in India

Porsche has launched the new 718 Cayman and Boxster in the country, which are priced at Rs 81.63 lakh and Rs 85.53 lakh ex-showroom Delhi respectively. The third generation 718 Boxster gets more striking and sporty appearance, while the new 718 Cayman complements the Roadster. The newly launched cars claim to offer better performance figure as compared to the older generation models.
The new 718 Cayman and the Boxster are powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, which replaces the older 3.4-litre, six cylinder. Cayman claims to generate an additional 90Nm of torque over its predecessor. It comes with seven-speed automatic PDK gearbox, the 2.0-litre engines produce 298 bhp and 380Nm of torque which allows the vehicle to do 0-100kmph in just about 5.1 seconds. The top speed for both cars has been at 275kmph. To deliver best handling, the new models are offered with retuned chassis, a wider front and side air-intake with side skirts for aerodynamics. Both the 718 Boxster and the 718 Cayman get a redesigned front with larger cooling intakes, and the Bi-Xenon headlights with the LED DRLs get a design update too.
Inside, the upper part of the dashboard and the air vents are new, and the 718 Boxster and Cayman get a 918 Spyder design sport steering wheel. PCM (Porsche Communication Management) now forms a part of the standard equipment. 718 Boxster is offered with a Vehicle Tracking System Plus (PVTS+) as standard.  The Porsche 718 Boxster competes with the Mercedes-AMG SLC43, priced at Rs 77.50 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The 718 Cayman doesn't have any real competition for now as there is no other 2-seater sports coupe available in the price range.

Porsche launches Cayenne S Platinum Edition at Rs 1.27 Crore

Porsche has launched the Cayenne S Platinum Edition in India. The petrol variant is priced at Rs 1.27 crore and the diesel version is priced at Rs 1.31 crore (Ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The Platinum Edition offer more features and equipment in comparison to a standard Cayenne S.
The vehicle now gets new bi-xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System and body coloured wheel arches. Platinum edition also comes with 21-inch wheels instead of 18-inch wheels that are offered on the standard variant. The Platinum Edition Cayenne S is available in shades of Jet Black, Mahogany, Rhodium Silver and Carrara White.
Inside the Cayenne S Platinum Edition features leather and Alcantara upholstery, eight-way adjustable sports seats, Platinum Edition badging on the sill guard and seat headrests with Porsche logo. The vehicle also gets heated front seats and touchscreen navigation system with Bose audio system. Moreover, it also gets dynamic cornering system and front and rear parking sensors.
There are no changes under the hood. The Cayenne S Platinum Edition’s petrol variant is powered by same 3.6-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that comes mated to an 8-speed tiptronic S transmission unit to put out 414bhp of power and 550Nm of torque. The diesel version on the other hand is powered by a 4.2-litre twin-turbo 8-cylinder engine comes mated to an 8-speed tiptronic S transmission unit which puts out 380bhp of power 850Nm of torque.
