Jaguar new XF spied testing in India

All new jaguar XF spied testing in Bangalore. XF was shown at 2015 New York Auto Show. The new XF will compete majorly with BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6 and is expected to launch next year in India.
The new XF is made up of 75% aluminium featuring Jaguar all-new iQ[AI] aluminium platform - that XE already uses. New XF is 190 kilos lighter, 7mm shorter and 3mm lower than the current car, it has 51mm longer wheelbase at 2,960mm delivering more rear legroom, knee room and headroom.
Now offering LED lighting at the front, F-Type inspired tail lamps and sportier alterations to the existing XF styling. Interior side car offers Jaguar new InControl Touch Pro infotainment system featuring 10.2-inch touch display along with 12.3-inch digital instrumentation cluster.
Under the hood XF is expected to get the company’s new 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol and diesel engines along with the regular 3.0-litre V6 diesel and 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine.

Facelift of Mahindra XUV 500 spied testing undisguised

Mahindra will update soon there XUV500 and reportedly launching next month. The updates are having cosmetic changes in the car.
The front gets new family grille that debuted with the second-gen Scorpio - honeycomb mesh with black slats and chrome highlights. The headlight gets ‘S’ shaped LED inserts, expect it to be similar to that of the Scorpio’s ‘LED eyebrow’.
The front bumper receives massive changes, now it has wider air dam, while fog lamp housing is placed closer to the headlamps and gets a chrome surround too. The side profile is kept as it is, save for the new set of 10-spoke alloys.
Changes on the interior sides are larger touch screen, updated infotainment system (just like the new Scorpio) and the cabin reduces its top glossy parts. Under the hood XUV5OO will continue to be powered by the same 2.2-liter mHawk140, direct-injection Variable Geometry Turbocharged (VGT) diesel engine. The 2179cc give powerpower of 140bhp @ 3750 rpm and max torque of 330 Nm in-between 1600-2800 rpm.

Hyundai launches 2015 Elantra

Hyundai launches facelift of Elantra starting from 14.13 lakhs to 17.94 lakhs (ex-showroom). There are no changes done on engine only cosmetic changes are done.

Exterior gets projector headlamps with LED Guide Light, new 10 spoke 16 inch alloy wheels, LED effect rear combination lamps chrome tipped exhaust, bold chrome grille, redesigned front bumper, gets new10 spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels.
Interior gets sporty black interiors with leather seat upholstery, metallic scuff plates and sporty Aluminium pedals. The infotainment system with 4.3 inch color TFT LCD display and steering mounted controls add comfort in driving. The infotainment system also offers Bluetooth connectivity and rear camera display.

The safety feature of car is having 6 Air bags, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist Control, Vehicle Stability management, Electronic Stability Control, Rear view Camera with Rear Parking. Under the hood there are no changes petrol comes with1.8-litre Dual VTVT engine gives power output of 147.5bhp @ 6500rpm and torque of 177Nm @ 4700 rpm while diesel comes with 1.6-litre VGT CRDi engine which gives power output of 126.3bhp @ 4000 rpm and torque of 270Nm @ 1900rpm.

Facelift of Toyota Camry coming on 30th April

 Toyota announce facelift of Camry coming on 30th April. Toyota Camry was showcased at last year’s Moscow International Auto Show
The changes are at the front there is all new grille on which a thick chrome slat has been bestowed. Headlamp cluster has been tweaked which now also incorporates LED daytime running lights. The chin at the front seems to be bulging out alongside restyled bumper that reminds us of new-gen Corolla Altis. The car is expected to get some redesigned alloy wheels as well. Rear end too gets updated with the tail light cluster getting LED inclusion. The chrome strip here plays a different role striking through both the taillights giving a unique look from behind.
Changes on the interior sides are istrumentent cluster incorporates 4.1inch screen with blue backlight while there will be a larger 6.1inch infotainment unit to play around. The update will also replace the current four-spoke steering wheel with a brand new three-spoke steering, besides some other minor changes.
Under the hood, there is hardly any possibility that Toyota will install a new engine. The car will have same 2.5 liter petrol mill that generates 179bhp and max torque rated at 233Nm. The hybrid version too will continue with the same mechanics. As per the pricing, expect some extra dough around Rs. 1.5-2 lac from the current model. Camry currently competes with Skoda Superb in the class which will also come in a new avatar next year.

New variant VX(O) introduced by Honda in City

To expand variant line up Honda introduced VX(O) which is VX grade in manual transmission in both petrol & diesel trim. This new variant have features an advanced integrated touchscreen audio visual navigation (AVN). Company also new premium colour White Orchid Pearlin.
The newly introduced touchscreen audio visual navigation system gets a large 15.7cm touchscreen with satellite-based voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation, complete in-car entertainment with DVD/CD Playback, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, i-POD, MP3, FM/ AM connectivity. The touchscreen also gets rear camera display with guidelines.
Price of this new variant in petrol is VX(O) MT i-VTEC (Petrol) – Rs 10,64,000 and in diesel is VX(O) MT i-DTEC (Diesel) – Rs 11, 83,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Government will offer upto 1.38 lakhs incentive on electric cars and two-wheelers

Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Shri Anant Geete launched a scheme for Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid & Electric Vehicles (FAME) at an event which was organized by The Department of Heavy Industry (DHI) of the Government of India, in association with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Under this scheme, the government has announced to offer incentives upto Rs 29,000 for two-wheelers and Rs. 1.38 lac for cars. The government will spend Rs. 795 crore in the first two fiscal years under this scheme.
At first the scheme will be launched in metropolitan cities and later will be implemented in tier 1 and tier 2 cities. The battery-run motorcycles and scooter will get incentives in range of Rs 1,800 to Rs 29,000 while in case of electric or hybrid car, the inducement will be in the range of Rs 13,000 to Rs 1.38 lac.

Renault Lodgy launched priced from 8.19 lakhs

Renault launches its MPV Lodgy in the market starting from 8.19 lakhs (ex-showroom). The boxy design of the Lodgy makes it seem massive in size. At 4498 mm, its slightly shorter than the Innova and is much bigger than the Mobilio or the Ertiga.
A set of nice large swept back headlights and the twin slatted chrome grille, enables this new MPV to stand out against the other segment opponents. Additionally, a nice chin spoiler up front with the entire lower section finished in black, gives the front a sporty character. Moving to the rear, here those radical tail lights which are designed to reflect an arrow in motion comes as the major highlight, quite offbeat though.
Lodgy feels every bit as spacious as it looks on the inside With a wheelbase of 2810 mm which is even longer than even the Innova, the Lodgy boasts the best-in-class space. The two tone dashboard is a quite simple and clean. And some parts like the air-conditioning controls and vents, gear lever, dials, stalks, steering wheel, window switches, and most of the buttons are taken straight of the Duster AWD.
Under the hood Lodgy have 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine, available in the 84bhp and the 108.5bhp versions. However, there isn't a petrol engine in the offering.
Lodgy competes against the more affordable Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio as well as the expensive Toyota Innova.

Mercedes Benz to update SLK roadster line up

Mercedes is bringing ome new engines, transmissions and advanced features on board, though the styling remains unchanged. The turbocharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in the entry-level SLK 200 has now been changed by bigger 2.0-litre turbo. Due to change itleadss to 30Nm more toque at 300 Nm, the power output stands unaffected at 184 bhp.
The same 2.0-litre mill also makes its way under the bonnet of the SLK 300, which replaces the SLK 250. Here, the output from the same displacement increases by 40 bhp as compared to the preceding model, at 245 bhp, while the torque has increased by 60 Nm to 370 Nm.
The new six-speed manual gearbox comes as standard with the SLK200, whereas a new nine-speed automatic transmission, replacing the old seven-speed auto, is being offered as an option in the SLK200 and standard in the SLK300. Named the ‘9G-Tronic,’ the transmission gets a newly designed sporty gearlever and steering wheel paddleshifters. And as per Mercedes, ‘the transmission allows very fast gear changes, especially in manual mode and lower engine speeds, and has a positive effect on efficiency, noise and comfort.’
The start-stop’ button is also a standard feature on all the SLK models now, in a bid to meet the EU6 emissions standard. The advanced safety suite of the range has also been expanded and now includes Attention Assist, Distronic Plus with Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist as well.

Audi TT Coupe 2015 Launching in April 23

Audi India has officially announced that next-gen Audi TT 2015 will be launching on April 23. It was unveiled at 2014 Geneva motor show.
The 3rd generation of TT is based on the VW's versatile MQB platform and is nearly 50 kg lighter than its predecessor and packs all the latest gadgets.At the outset, the vehicle has retained the essence of classic TT  but it gets a dose of masculinity and edginess. Also, the new R8 resembles it from the face. It receives  the Audi’s Matrix LED lighting system that is on offer in the A8 at present in India.
2015 TT gets 12.3 inch digital Nvidia Tegra 30 GPU powered instrumentation cluster! There are also jet turbine blade inspired AC lovers with digital display, powerful 12 speaker and a new multifunction bottom flat steering wheel. Engine will be same - 2.0-liter TFSI producing 230 PS and 370 Nm, mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox.

1.2 ltr direct injection turbo petrol engine unveiled by Toyota

Toyota has unveiled there second turbocharged engine. This engine comes with drastically improved thermal and fuel efficiency. This new 8NR-FTS 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo engine combines Toyota's hybrid and conventional powertrain development, including breakthroughs in combustion and loss-reduction technologies. Due to this engine is capable of delivering superior driving performance and acceleration, while also achieving impressive fuel efficiency and world-leading thermal efficiency.
The new 1.2-litre turbo charged engine puts put a maximum power of 116 bhp at 5200-5600 rpm and a maximum torque of 185 Nm at 1500-4000 rpm. To enable adaptive intake cooling without getting affected by the engine’s thermal load, a single-scroll turbocharger is paired with a cylinder head that uses an integrated water-cooled exhaust manifold to optimize exhaust temperature. This results in responsive acceleration and maximum torque across a wide rpm range.
Toyota will launch this new engine with the facelifted Auris in Japan with a fuel economy of 19.4 kmpl.

First Avanti by DC will be delivered on 16th April

India's first sports car DC Avanti deliveries will start from 16th April. It's price is 35 lakh (ex-showroom). The car was first unveiled at 201auto-expo, while production ready model was showcased at 2014 auto-expo
Avanti is built as per considering Indian roads, it is 4,550mm long, 2,120 mm wide and 1,200mm in height, which is considerably higher than any of the internationally-made sportscar. Whereas a good170 mm ground clearance.
Under the hood Avanti is powered by Renault-sourced 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, having power of maximum 250 bhp at 5500 rpm and 340 Nm torque between 2,750 to 5,000 rpm. In this 6-speed manual transmission is used.
It has kerb weight close to 1500 kgs, the Avanti can go 0-100 in 6 seconds(claimed) and goes upto an electronically limited top speed of 200 kmph. For efficient braking, it comes equipped with 330 mm ventilated discs at the front and 295mm at the rear, along with the Continental-developed Anti-lock braking system (ABS) as a standard feature.

India bound Chevrolet Beat shown at 2015 New York Motor Show

Chevrolet unveiled its all new 2016 Beat at the ongoing 2015 New York Motor Show. New Beat offers greater efficiency and refinement along with new safety and connectivity features. It gets sleeker appearance, courtesy of its slightly longer wheelbase. The height also lowered about 1.6 inches which reduces the aerodynamic drag to help improve efficiency. The interiors is also updated to maintain the headroom.
The 2016 Chevy Spark Flaunts the Following New Features:

1) All-new Ecotec 1.4-litre I-4 with manual and continuously variable (CVT) transmissions which gives an output of 98 horsepower, a 16-percent increase over the current model.

India bound next generation Audi A4 spied testing

Audi will soon introduce A4 globally. Recent spied pics suggest tht new A4 will get Matrix LED headlight, LED turn indicators and DRLs. The signatory Audi front grille is now redesigned
New Audi A4 interior is inspired by udi A3 sedan, Audi TT and all new Q7 SUV. With minimum buttons, the dashboard looks more tidy and less cluttered. The navigation screen is inspired from Audi TT, the gear shift and instrument cluster dials from Audi Q7.
New A4 will get new and updated powertrains along with new gearbox. Also according to Spanish media, the saloon will now have 1.4 TFSI petrol engine tuned to deliver an output of 125 HP and a peppier 3.0 TFSI engine which gives an output of 272 HP and the diesel engine, the entry-level choice will be a 1.6 TDI with 120 HP while the range-topping version should be a 3.0 TDI with 260 HP. Word around the corner is that the company will also offer a 2.0 TDI e-tron with 190 HP + 136 HP (from two electric motors).
More details will be out at  global unveil at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor show.

Land Rover revealed SV Autobiography

Land rover  has made its most expensive and luxurious Ranger Rover yet, the SVAutobiography. This is set to debut at New York Motor show 2015. This autobiography will replace the current Autobiography Black trim level.
This will be offered in both- standard length and long-wheelbase specification, the SVAutobiography will also be available with a two-tone finish for the first time. SVAutobiography will also be available with a two-tone finish for the first time. The ‘Santorini Black’ is used for the upper section, while the company offers nine different colors for the lower part of the vehicle. The grille also features a unique ‘Graphite Atlas finish,’ and at the rear ‘SVAutobiography’ moniker marks its presence.

Major changes are done on the inside. Most of the switchgear including the start-stop surround and rotary controls are machined from solid aluminum with beautiful knurled details, as are the foot pedals. While the rear passengers will now be able to enjoy a beverage chiller compartment and powered deployable tables.
SV Autobiography is powered with upercharged 5.0-litre V-8, rated at 542 bhp and 680 Nm of peak torque
