Named the ‘9G-Tronic,’ the transmission gets a newly designed sporty gearlever and steering wheel paddleshifters. And as per Mercedes, ‘the transmission allows very fast gear changes, especially in manual mode and lower engine speeds, and has a positive effect on efficiency, noise and comfort.’
The start-stop’ button is also a standard feature on all the SLK models now, in a bid to meet the EU6 emissions standard. The advanced safety suite of the range has also been expanded and now includes Attention Assist, Distronic Plus with Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist as well.
